EE have discovered that their policies dealing with transpeople may well be illegal after they required a transwoman that they required "a covering letter with a copy of the change of name deed poll document and also the documented proof of gender change"!
Requiring she provide a deed poll is like asking someone for a marriage or divorce certificate could be considered indirect discrimination under the Equality Act 2010.
The request for proof of gender change documentation, is very probably in breach of the Gender Recognition Act 2004.
They are now frantically back-pedalling "as a matter of urgency", but don't actually say when they'll fix the information on their website.
